Second Proposal Sent Friday, 30 July 2010 | 0
I've sent the second proposal for the project today. The proposal has been narrowed down and the title has been changed. The new title is;
COMPUTER PROGRAMS THAT LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE: A CRITICAL APPROACH OF ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS APPLIED IN FINANCE TO STOCK MARKET FORECASTING
As the title suggests the project will initially research on artificial neural networks (ANN) on four different and well known algorithms. These algorithms will then be tested with stock market forecasting datasets to later compare the results. The software will be a data analysis software and have graphical and statistical tools to view the output. That's it for now, I will be updating you as I proceed and hopefully the project will be accepted by the supervisor. In August, I won't be updating the blog much as the supervisor is away for the entire month, and will only be deciding the proposal in September. In August, I will be working on programming and LSE maths modules; I will be blogging on those relevant topics.
